Ten or twelve years ago I sold a swath of loose Valor magazine issues on eBay for the “buy it now” price of $27 a piece. Other times I have seen loose issues of the rare Blue Lectures sell for $120 each. Not only do I have complete sets of some Pelley publications, I have extras… and, thanks to the escalation of personal matters stemming from this very project, I also have debts.
Being as such in another country with a challenge to access libraries in the USA, I would love the opportunity to obtain copies or any of the extras you are willing you offer. Look forward to it.
Hey Vance, I haven't been able to check in on the project for a while but we've had some back and forth over the years about Pelley and I'd love to expand my own collection at some point and would have no issue paying for some copies of stuff you have. I have most all of Pelley's books (barring some of the Soulcraft ones, which I plan to rectify in the near future) but almost no magazines and only ~10 or so pamphlets so I still have a lot of room to grow.
Hope all is well and I look foward to catching up on some of the recent posts!
I don't have those kind of extras. I am looking to sell piecemeal periodicals not my entire sets. In the process I will scan and host them at archive dot org or with IAPSOP so that they may be viewed freely. I have no friends at NYPL or the Smithsonian. Not looking for any.
Would some university library be interested in buying a collection of Pelley material? What about the libraries in Asheville, Indianapolis or Noblesville? The New York Public Library might be interested in increasing its collection. I spent many days in the NYPL dusty annex way over in the West 40s looking at microfiche and hard copies of Valor etc.
Hi Vance, great idea!

Thank you!

Does that hold true for the New York Public Library or The Smithsonian?

No, no they wouldn't. This matter has been inquired into. These cities would rather Mr. Pelley fall down the memory hole.
