The Valor scanning project proceeds at an even clip. As I go through these pages I encounter familiar articles I have read over the years. Here’s one that was really a favorite. One of the first areas of Pelley’s career which I focused on was his work in Hollywood as a screenwriter during the silent film era of the 1920s. I gradually compiled a list of movies he had written or adapted for motion pictures. Here and there I picked up on his relationships with other players. Now and then I would run across a Valor column such as this one which give us a behind-the-scenes look at that bygone time and the real life characters whose faces flashed on the silver screen.
This one invites us onto the set of the Lon Chaney film ‘Mr. Wu’ (1927). Enjoy!
